Here I am at last, after all the hard work and finally have passed all levels of AAT.

So, what about Graduation? Anybody out there know anything about this at all? I can't find anything, which makes me feel just ever so slightly neglected!

    Re:Graduation???

The AAT will send out invites usually for October/November time but be warned it may be next year.
When I passed my final exams I didn't recieve an invite until the following year.
My college had their own graduation in a cathredral the same year which was great and much more timely and appropriate.
I know that not all colleges do this but it's worth checking.
Or ring the AAT to see if you are likely to be on the guest list for this year?

Congratulations and well done, it's a great achievement!!!!

Will it be the same for those of us on home study? Is it the AAT we have to rely on to get an invite? :?

    Re:Graduation???

Yes, I'm sure the invitation from the AAT is to all students who have sucessfully completed the course.

I seem to vaguely remember if everything was passed in the February exams then invites were sent out the same year.

I guess the AAT may find it difficult time scale wise to get students who passed in August on the guest list, although someone please correct me on this if I'm wrong?

Well worth going though, even if you have to wait until next year.

    Re:Graduation???

My college does one every November for students who complete NVQ levels 4 & 5, will this mean I can go to the one at college and the AAT one?

    Re:Graduation???

I asked the AAT the same question about Graduation Ceremony etc, and they didn't know what i was talking about. All they could come up with is the Achievement ceremony, which isn't the same, is it?

I wanted to wear a gown and cap, and now they don't appear to offer this.

    Am i wrong??

A gown and cap seems a bit too much for passing the AAT doesn't it? It hardly equates to a degree!

Nope Matt your right it doesnt but neither does a HNC or HND but they have graduations for them too...so why not have one for AAT.

After all they also like you to put letters after your name...with a fee.

    Re:Graduation???

I personally know Gillianne, from starting Foundation in 2004 right through to her passing Technician in 2007, and she - and everyone else who's now completed - should be entitled to their moment of glory after all the hard work, effort and sacrifice they've put in over the last few years.

I think with many of the degrees offered today, AAT is a worthy equal to at least some of them.

    Regards,

    Robert

    Re:Graduation???

    Ooh, not happy!
I'd been looking forward to graduating since February and because I wasn't on the list of passers my college asked the AAT for, I have missed out on this year and only found out today (it was yesterday).
It is an admin error, but as usual it's me who gets let down.
I will definitely be on the list for next year, so I am told.
