What has been the most greatest holiday you have been on and why?

Re:Greatest Holidays!
Do you remember the hotel name and was it good?

Re:Greatest Holidays!
It was very basic, but had everything you needed. It was in Samos Town and you could walk out in the evening to different tavernas for local food.
Lovely beaches, lovely scenery and really friendly people.
One of the things I remember most was the lovely scents from the plants, especially in the evenings.0 -
Re:Greatest Holidays!
It is difficult to split between 2 hols. One was is Faliraki, Rhodes (before it got nasty) - cheap but great fun and also St Lucia - all inclusive (before all inclusive was famous) and yes I am that old. Both were brilliant and special, but probably cannot be repeated.

Re:Greatest Holidays!
Did a 'learn to sail' holiday in Turkey a few years back. Totally exhausting, but wonderful. Excellent tuition, beautiful scenery and warm water when you capsized.

Re:Greatest Holidays!
Villa with friends in Orlanod, and there is a suprising amount to do apart from Disneyworld.
Also, probably won't appeal to you, but Ibiza with the lads was just something else0 -
Re:Greatest Holidays!
Loch Lomond inOctober - we had an open fire BBQ on the shore. The owner of the hotel took us across in his boat and then collected us later.0 -

Dont do boats......seen Titanic :?0 -
Re:Greatest Holidays!
I don't do boats either, but I was invited on the holiday and decided to go for it.
I had private swimming lessons to get over the fear of falling in and drowning and I can honestly say it was the best holiday ever.
Facing up to my fears and overcoming them just made the holiday even more special. Pity the bloke I went with turned into a top class plonker.0 -
Re:Greatest Holidays!
My husband can swim like a fish but I hate water cos I got knocked over (under) a dingy when I was young and :? I dont like water or boats......OMG im a proper girl :roll:0 -
