College or distance

I've decided to go for AAT but can't get to a college.
Someone suggested i go it alone.
can anyone recommend some names of distance learning places?
And what are the downside?
I'm desperate to do this. I've been working in accounts office 6 months and deffo want to do it.
Help!

    Theres a link on this site (Student pages) that lists providers:
    http://www.aat.org.uk/join/distancelearning/

    It takes discipline to use this but if you need to be flexible with your time its ideal.

    Hi Babs,
    most of the distant learning is provided by BPP, Premier Training, FTC. Have a look as sara has suggested. don't know about the downsides but you need to be disciplined!!!

    i did foundation on distance learning and with no accounts experience as i was working in a supermarket at the time . it is do able and if you work in accounts that will help but be prepared to have to put the work in a practice
