Re:Awards ceremony
Is there a choice then?
Oh Well done by the way, hope you enjoy it

Re:Awards ceremony
Yeah, there are 7 around the country and you get to choose 2. If the 1st is fully booked, you get your 2nd choice, but if 2nd choice is fully booked, you don't go.
Thanks, I became a full member in March and have been looking forward to this!0 -
Re:Awards ceremony
That seems alittle unfair
, especially if you really want to go to one. Good luck in getting a place.

Re:Awards ceremony
I have also sent the form back. I can't believe there are only 7 ceromonies throughout the country for everybody that has qualified to attend. Also we are only allowed to take 1 guest. My parents are really proud of what I have achieved and also wanted to attend. Telling them they were not able to was quite upsetting.0 -
Re:Awards ceremony
How many tickets can you have?0 -
Re:Awards ceremony
Only 1 guest is able to attend with you and you have to state this on the application form0 -
Re:Awards ceremony
One guest is ridiculous as my family wanted to go and now they cant. and what happens if the 2 venues you choose are booked0 -
Re:Awards ceremony
Is kinda crap considering all the money we pay for membership and do you have to pay towards the ceremony too?

Re:Awards ceremony
You pay a รยฃ15.00 deposit which is returned to you if you attend or if you are not allocated a space. Also you could pay by cheque or sent all your credit card details (including security number) through the post. I really think AAT have gone mad sometimes, particularly when Royal Mail is not that reliable and things often get lost into the wrong hands0 -
Re:Awards ceremony
What like the missing exam papers
Will they ever learn?0 -
Re:Awards ceremony
Yeah, that's why I sent mine recorded so then at least I know if they got it.
Must check that tonight.0 -
Re:Awards ceremony
Hope they get it - my PTC exam paper was sent recoded delivery to the marker and that never arrived !!0 -
Re:Awards ceremony
Hmm, it's not been delivered yet. Hope they get it tomorrow!0 -
Re:Awards ceremony
Looks like I should have spent the extra รยฃ3.25 for special because it's still not been delivered! :evil:0 -
Re:Awards ceremony
Your joking
Did it say how many days it could take?0 -
Re:Awards ceremony
Recorded 1st class should only take 2 working days, but I've phoned up and they haven't even attempted delivery yet! The mail service in this country is a complete joke and I am furious as I am bound to have lost the place of my choice.
With hindsight, I would have used special delivery.0 -
Re:Awards ceremony
If it was a cheque you didnt want cashing for a few days then it would arrive the next day but because its something you want to get there straight away, it will take forever
Let us know where and if you get a place.
Good Luck0 -
Re:Awards ceremony
Thankfully, RM are so incompetent, they delivered the reply but didn't realise!
I phoned the AAT and they already had it, I happily have a place in London, which is lucky as it is fully booked.
Checked my tracking ref and it still says it's not been delivered yet!0 -
Re:Awards ceremony
LOL
Nice to know RM are as incapable as AAT0 -
Re:Awards ceremony
Got my confirmation today! Didn't have time to look properly but there is also a photo shoot thing. Will have a proper look when I get home.0 -
Re:Awards ceremony

Re:Awards ceremony
Im blaming the AAT because I didnt pay my membership or exam fees to the Royal Mail I pay the AAT and considering how important Exam papers are should take every precaution to keep them safe. If they choose to sent exam papers by RM more fool them because come on face it they are not reliable to send letters with never mind exam papers.0 -
Re:Awards ceremony
most colleges send the exams papers via royal mail, exam results are sent out via royal mail !Ka8 wrote:Im blaming the AAT because I didnt pay my membership or exam fees to the Royal Mail I pay the AAT and considering how important Exam papers are should take every precaution to keep them safe. stop picking at little things and stop being so tight if the AAT membership is too much for you dont pay it.0 -
Re:Awards ceremony
Didnt say the membership is to much for me infact I think its rather reasonable! and im sure all the people who had their exam papers lost will agree with you when you call it a "little things" :roll:0 -
Re:Awards ceremony

Re:Awards ceremony
When are the award ceremonies? I haven't heard anything about them yet.
Also, do you have to be a full member to be invited? I qualified Technician in Aug '07 and my registration is due to finish in Oct '07.
I wasn't going to renew my membership - does this mean I'm not entitled to go?
Thanks for help everyone.0 -
Re:Awards ceremony
Yes, you have to be a full member to be invited. Have you applied for membership? I takes about 2-3 weeks after you get your results and have applied to obtain full membership, so by the time you are accepted it is too late for the ceremony, so I guess it is only people who qualified between August 06 and February 07 (I applied straight away and got membership 3 weeks later).
I think you also have to renew your membership as you will lose everything you have worked towards, but someone else may need to confirm that.0 -

No you don't have to be a full member to be invited - you just have to have passed Technician. I'm received my invite, got a place at the awards ceremony and I haven't done anything about full membership yet! The work experience form is in my famous "to do" pile...
