Hi all does anyone know if you are studying ACCA/ACA/CIMA etc

do you get a subscription discount if you subscribed to the AAT

    Hello blank.

    As far as i'm aware you will pay full subscription.

    You can however alter your tax code to take your subs into account.

    You can get a reduced subscription fee, i think it goes down to £50, instead of £66.00. You have to fill in a form, i rang member services and there were very helpful.

    If you have just qualified and are becoming a MAAT, instead of £30 admin fee, i think it is £14.00.

    Do you get a reduced subscription fee because you are a member of another body?

    I knew you could get one if you are on a low income etc but not just because you are a member of another body.

    You can claim reduced AAT full membership fees if you are a student of another accounting body.

    Hi NeilH

    Long time no see!

    I had looked into it and seen that but I'm gutted that I've been studying ACCA for 2 years and not known about it. I wonder if they will refund the over payment for this year (bet not).

    It's worth a try but at least next year should cost me a little less!

    ehhmmm i think that only applies to financial difficulty not because your a member of another body.

    I thought that either you would get an AAT subscription discount or an ACCA subscription discount because you were subscribed to the AAT ?

    If you have a look there is one for reduced subscription if you are studying with another body. I have just found it and didn't know about it so have been paying the increased fee for the last 2 years. If you get the form, you can get your membership for half price.

    Strangly enough my membership renewal has just come through today!!!

    I logged into MyAAT and there is a link called 'reduced subscriptions', clicked it, completed the online application form with my ATT details... lets see what happens.

    Nice and simple to do.

    Hi

    I was sent the form about a year ago after explaining that I was studying CIMA. Studying the qual is enough, you dont need to be in finacial hardship as well.
