Has anyone else finally realised that we now effectively have two different Forums? No wonder it didn't look like there was any activity for days.

First we have this one;

And now we have this one;

http://www.accountingtechnician.co.uk/forums/forums/list.page;jsessionid=6360ED5108705EC4D41A55B75B195002

If you compare the two forums side by side in different windows you can see that posts appear in either both versions or just one or the other. Judging from recent comments, it appears complete pot luck which one your posts will end up in.

Nice of the AAT site administrators to keep us informed of current changes - not. Could they get any more totally bloody hopeless?

EDIT; I had to copy and paste my post here from the other Forum! I also see my old avatar is back that I haven't used for months and months plus I've now had to set two bookmarks for the Forums - one old and one new! Jesus wept...

    I have two versions which I hop to and from.

    Just what students need as exams approach.

    Same here - I now have two different versions of the site open simultaneously.

    I see that Paul Bowen is busy posting messages regarding the extended exam deadline over on the new forum - not much sodding good if people can't reliably access it.

    I just tried calling the AAT and the IT team are not very surprisingly "all busy" - no doubt busy sharing the office copy of "An Idiots Guide to Website Design"

    EDIT; I just spoke to a temp called James who's unfortunately been left holding the fort while the others are holding a meeting, poor sod. (Nice to know they're making full use of those new "karma hammocks" they bought with our AAT subs!) Anyway I digress. He again expressed the problems they were having with the site (kind of heard this before, haven't we?!) and that he'd leave a message for the rest of the team when they've finished their morning siesta, sorry, meeting. Hopefully, they'll post an announcement on the Forums sometime today informing users which version of the Forum they should be viewing - the new one I think. However, as always over this issue, my breath is very firmly held and I can somehow see myself suffocating within the next three months.

    The "new" forum seems to have been around for a while. Remember that three-some Helen, Peter & I had one weekend ? I'd logged in via Accounting Technician on-line whilst I think Helen was getting through via an email link.

    Edit At the moment 1.50pm there isn't anyone logged on apart from myself on either Forum. Can't be right, unless you've all given up. I know its POETS day, but it's a bit early yet!

    I'm flipping confused with this new devilment!

    Now I have two threads the same - knowing your reputation, I reckon this latest mischief must be something to do with you Helen?! If it is, I can't for the life of me see how you've done it!
