Paying Back Tuition Costs

I have a member of staff that is leaving and has to pay back the ACCA tuition costs that the company has spent this year on them.
Does somebody know if they are responsible for paying the gross amount or the net amount, as we have already claimed the VAT back on these costs.

Re:Paying Back Tuition Costs
Hi
The fee to be paid back would be the gross amount. Since the student is leaving and is required to pay back the fee, this could constitute a supply.
