I'm fairly certain it is today, sorry can't check as I'm not at work and can't access HMRc's employers cd.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi T.C.

Jan is absolutely right, on or before May 31 is the statutory deadline and dont forget they have to be on paper, no electronic P60's are allowed.

My client still hasn't received his from his old employer. What do you suggest? I have requested it, but they say that the accountant has not supplied it yet!

You would only receive one if he was employed by that employer on 5th April.

If someone leaves during the year, they would not receive one from that employer.

Thanks for that, but what if he didn't receive (or has possibly lost!) a P45?

Contact HMRC. Does he have his final payslip?

    Darn it! Beaten by Annette!

I contacted the Inland Revenue yesterday for details of someone's P45 and I was told as of last week they are no longer able to give out this information and that I would need to complete the form, which hopefully I have attached a link to!

    https://online.hmrc.gov.uk/shortforms/form/DPU_SAR?dept-name=DPUFOI&sub-dept-name=&location=37&origin=http://www.hmrc.gov.uk

You only have 15 minutes to complete the form before the session is terminated and it takes up to 40 days to receive the information!
