Expecting a refund of £1,900

I closed my company in Oct 07 and I have been waiting for my refund for about 6 - 7 months. So I asked my accountant, why haven't i got my refund yet and he said, i would have to start up the company again for me to receive my refund. Is this correct?

I just want to make sure that I have been given the correct advice before I do anything.

    Doesn't sound right to me. Telephone your tax office. They will be able to give you the accurate information.
