what is P11?

I want to study payroll and reading payroll books but can not understand what is free pay and P11 ?

Please, anyone is there to explain me.

    Free pay is the pay that is not taxed each week or month as it falls below the personal allowance for that employee for that period.

    The P11 is the form that is used each tax year for each employee to calculate and record their tax and national insurance deductions each week or month.
