Have HMRC come into some money? - they are giving out prepaid postage envelopes for VAT Returns now!

    They always did!

    I have a stack of them now that all mine go in online.

    Oh, maybe its just the change in colour of the envelope that made me look twice!

    According to the HMRC Agent Update, HMRC are going to stop issuing prepaid envelopes from the 1st October.

    Does anyone know if we will be able to continue to use the stocks we have built up?

    I should think so. I assume they are not moving offices.

    Why don't you file online? Much easier.

    I do file online for as many as I can, but some Clients don't like the idea even though I tell them they would have longer to pay and would receive refunds quicker.

    Unfortunately as I am not VAT registered myself I can not register to file Clients VAT returns online, they have to register themselves and let me have the details, which also means I have to use all different User ID's and Passwords.

    I've contacted HMRC about this and I know other Users on this forum have as well. HMRC want everything to be filed electronically but will not give us the facility to do so!!!
