PTC - Mileage Allowance

Hi All,

my company has approached me and asked me to take on a new role of a 'secret shopper'. This will involve using my own vehcile and claiming back the business mileage. My boss has said that the mone they pay me for my miles will be tax free??:thumbup: Does anyone know if this is correct??

    In my job, when we make a claim for expenses the money paid to us is sent via a BACS payment straight to our personal account. It doesn't go through my pay check to attract Tax and I have never seen any tax deducted by the pay centre on their remittance advice.
