Hi, im revising for next weeks FTC exam, and am puzzled by the answer to question 1.6 on the Dec 06 paper.
Where does the proceeds of share issue come from??? :crying:

The issued share capital per the balance sheet has increased by (5,000 - 8,000) = 3,000. The share premium account per the balance sheet has also increased from (1,000 to 2,500) = 1,500 so the proceeds from the share issue are 4,500.
