This may come accross as a very silly question, but do the accounts that a small Ltd company files with Companies House have to include a P&L?

    No they don't - it is only the abbreviated accounts that are filed at Companies House.

    If you file the Accounts online there is a standard layout for you just to fill in.
    Very simple.
