I am revising through past papers and answers not relevant to tax year we study.
Should it really matter if i work out tax and nics according to current tax year.
But really confused how can i confirm right or wrong.
Is there any other technique to discover my mistakes ?
Thank you for support

With tax papers I would always recommend you work from material that is written specifically for the Finance Act you are going to be examined on (i.e. FA 2008).
You really need to study from up to date material rather than relying on past papers that were written under a preceding Finance Act - this method of study is not appropriate. Finance Act 2008 did bring in some quite significant changes from FA 2007.

This is something ive said quite a lot on this particular part of the forum. But there is only really section 2 that you can do on a payroll past paper, and some of them questions might even be wrong! For example, maternity pay increases each year etc etc. You need to contact your learning provider/ college as they should have one. If not then its good old fashioned revision to get you through!!0
