    The increased profit was 2400 and the increase in fixed assets was 3000 so you do 2400 divided by 3000 to get 80% increase.

    Basically you saved 50p per item on materials plus £1 extra on the selling price. Times by 1200 units is 1800. Plus 600 saved on admin costs is 2400.

    Of course in the exam I wrote out the whole P and L account before I realised you could do it an easier way!

    I found myself frantically scribbling fo r the last 2 questions with a race against the clock.

    do we have any ideas on the average % needed to pass each section? all my other exams have been really good this week but i am still nervous for my results from monday's pev...think i nailed section 1 but not convinced at all about section 2. thanks!

    has anyone read sandy's answers and do they vary much from your own.

    1 week on and i cannot remember anything about the exam at all

    I think Sandys answers look very much like the ones I got.
    He tackled the two questions I found difficult in the way I did in the exam. Which was a relief...
    So even if I got wrong answers I hope to get some marks for them
