i know i have failed one of my technician exams which means there is no 2nd year uni for me in september
however i was wondering whether it is possible to start uni from first year and still register to take the AAT exam in december
please post your thoughts and advice.. thanks

Surely the results aren't out yet? You might be surprised. Which one was it?
You'll be able to take the AAT exam in December.
As for the uni... have a look at your offer letter. Have a quick word with the admissions office of the uni. Your department's teaching office would be a good choice too. Have you ever spoken to the Admissions Tutor there? (That would be the lecturer who looks after new admissions to the department: you'd want the one for Accounting/Business dept.) They might be willing to let you start the second year anyway, even if you have failed. Especially if you only failed one.0
