Well it's all happening this week, here's another first for me! I've just received a letter from the Insolvency Service to say that one of my client's has had a bankruptcy order made against him.
They have asked me to send a copy of his last accounts. Whilst I want to assist them, I am not sure of their powers and do not want to break client confidentiality. I have checked the internet but can't find the answer so basically am I legally obliged to disclose this information or should I first request my client's permission?

I had a similar case a few years ago, but my client was quite happy for me to disclose whatever they wanted. I would suggest that you contact the insolvency service and ask them what is legally required from you. They are obliged to tell you.0
