    I've recently enrolled in a course and am currently working through exercises which require quite a lot of arithmetic. I consider myself very competent at mental arithmetic. However I am always using a calculator during my studies. Started out by doing it my head and "silly" mistakes crept in from time to time. I'd say even the best make the odd error when constantly working with numbers. We're all human after all!
