Cash Accounting VAT

have a client using the cash accounting VAT scheme. I have a purchase invoice dated 01.07.09 where VAT has been charged however it states it is payable over 12 monthly payments. have come across this before, I presume I include 3 months worth of the invoivce in each VAT return as that is all that has been paid.
