Is there any reason why a ACA accountant cannot prepare his fathers business accounts?
If yes, why?

    It depends on his professional body's rules.

    For instance, I am ACCA without a practicing certificate but I can do family's and a charity's accounts subject to certain rules, such as no payment etc.

    That is ACCA's rules but I don't know what ICAEW's rules are.
