Payroll - AAT or sage?

Hiya,

I'm looking to study payroll but am confused as to whether to take the AAT course or the sage one?
whats the difference if any?

    Hi,
    I misunderstood your question so I have edited this message..........

    Sage actually run some great courses and I think you can still buy a training passport from them which is effectively a discounted training voucher.

    Have you considered reading both AAT and Sage brochures to find out what they are offering?

    For example you may want to do the AAT Payroll course to get to grips with the theory and then go and do the Sage course to apply it specifically to sage

    I would also suggest that the payroll course offered by AAT would show you the basics of payroll and how to run a manual system i.e. what Sage does for you.

    I believe the sage payroll course shows you how to use sage payroll but it would be useful to know what the program is doing.

    Personally if I had the choice I would do the AAT payroll course.
