If when making a claim for loss of earnings due to an accident is the Net pay paid if not what happens about the Tax and NI ?

A loss of earnings claim is effectively compensation which is not subject to tax or ni. The courts are supposed to put you in the financial position you would have been in were it not for the accident. Therefore, the compensation equates to net pay rather than gross.0
