Doing the AAT Skills Test

Hi Folks

I am thinking of doing the AAT course and may be able to get exemption from the foundatiom stage. The reason being that I have got an 'O' Level in Accounting - which I did about 20 years ago at college! I used the book Business Accounting 1 by Frank Wood for that course.

I am now thinking of going through that text book again to brush up my knowledge of accounting (so that least I know what a debit & a credit is), and to sit my skills test and I may get an exemption from the foundation stage. (fingers crossed)

What are your thoughts? Do you think I should take the skills test or just start at the foundation stage.

Thanks in advance for your response.

My opinion is to check the AAT online skills checker and decide if you want to start at foundation or intermediate, based on that.
