Yes, I didn't like it either. Section 1 is ok, but I found for this paper (and for past ones I was working on), that questions came up that weren't in the book I was using (BBP). I just had to guess at those ones, so I've got no idea how I've done.

Anyone else find the same thing?

yea i had to guess the end part of section 1 and i also wasnt 100% on student loads. What did you get for the student loan deduction??

Also a few of the questions in section 2 got me. ie. What certificate would a women need for reduction in her NIC??

    Hi,

The only thing I can tell people about student loans deductions is to remember not to include pence in the final deduction, that's a common error. The problem I have with it is that most of the errors occur in small businesses and many of them don't realise until year end when their returns aree rejected, then it is far too late. Can't find out why they made it whole pounds only but then I suspect that's why it goes in the exam.

I am surprised by the married womans reduced rate but I did a quick search and found that there are still over 50,000 valid cards in circulation! This ought to disappear very soon as all of these people will be over state pension age in the next year or so.

Anyway, here's hoping you've done well, I will keep my fingers crossed for your results.

Well, I did as well, and I found that some of the questions have never turned up previously, although in the previous exams some of them were asked every single time!

    I hope I did ok,though.
