Hi All,

Does anyone know of any good accountancy recruitment agencies in cambridge/ surrounding area? Or any just in general.

    there are loads my personal favourite is manpower (formally nicholas andrews) but the peterborough branch best, the one group (formally sphere financial) is also good.

    Pure Resourcing Solutions, based in Cambridge, Norwich and Ipswich www.prs.uk.com seem good: I say seem as they haven't gotten me to interview yet! One of my tutors at BPP Cambridge recommended them.

    Haven't had much luck with Cavill Robinson, but they're based in Cambridge and Peterborough http://www.cavillrobinson.co.uk/job_vacancy/job_vacancy_search.php?struid=1

    Reed, Hays and Page all have Cambridge branches with accounting specialisms.

    It's not an agency but I find http://www.jobsnow.co.uk/ to be useful: it collects the vacancies pages from all the local newspapers in the Cambs/Herts region.

    The OP didn't ask you to get started on agencies Mark so please butt out. Just because you (and certain others) have an axe to grind with this industry, don't take every thread that touches on this topic as an open invitation to further vent your frustrations while ignoring the reasons for failure that almost always come from within (i.e. you're not experienced and/or not qualified and/or simply not good enough for the positions you've applied for).

    PRS can be good and I got close to a job frfom them before, but they seemed to have not done much for me lately even though I told them I was being made redundent and would even go back to full time work. EVer since Scott left the Cambridge office, I hardly get calls from them, even though I apply for roles that are exactly like the one I currently do.
