I have a new client who is working in Greece as an Entertainer for 11 months of the year;
HMRC have told him that he is self employed and comes under UK Tax ;
I am concerned what his actual tax status is Uk tax or Greek,
Paul.

    Not my area of expertise, but I think it will depend on where the company is based that he is working for and also where he is domiciled.

    I think you will find that he will need a certificate from HMR & C to state that he is self employed and being taxed in the UK. Otherwise he will be stopped tax under the Greek Revenue rules. Suggets a phone call, email to the revenue for clarification. I have the same problem with a client going to Tenerife for 10 months and am awaiting a response from the revenue.
