Hi everyone, can CA's be claimed for part of the year on private motor vehicle? Vehicle introduced in the first year, and disposed in the same year. Thanks in advance.

    Yes. I have got the solution to this, brain must have gone numb again!

    = balancing allowance/ balancing charge.

    Just don't be too greedy on the market value introduced. Otherwise HMRC will question why the value has dropped significantly within the same year.
