Can someone tell me where the *970* came from.
Electricity Account
Cash paid during the year 950 - Balance b/d open accrual 200
Balance c/d closing accrual 220 - P&L Account 970

I dont have a copy of the example, but the 970 should be as follows
P&L
opening accrual reversal -200
paid in year 950
closing accrual 220
Total 9700 -
