Do we get a certificate?

AAT qualification all finished now, so I'm starting to look into what to attempt next - I'm not in an accounts related job so I can't do any work experience, which rules out going for MAAT.
I am looking to see if any university does a distance learning course that gives credit for AAT (OU are a bit measly in that respect).
But I feel a bit odd in that the AAT hasn't sent me anything - don't they still send certificates out? The one I printed myself from the achievements page just doesn't cut it, in my view. I'd always had delusions of awards ceremonies, people cheering and clapping, balloons.......

    Hello Linda

Have you seen the E-Learning for a Degree at Northampton Business School?

AAT is delighted to announce that AAT full and fellow members are able to gain enhanced access directly to the final year 3 of the BA (Hons) International Accounting degree, awarded at the University of Northampton and studied by distance learning.

    Kind regards.

Wow thanks, that looks really good. I've also got my name down for the Portsmouth University Business School open evening later this month (I live nearby), so will post again when I've been to that.

As far as I know you should get a certificate for each level that you complete but you won't get anything to say you're AAT qualified until you submit your work experience. So you should get one for Level 4. Not entirely sure though as I'm not AAT myself.

Me personally I have one for each level (including level 4) and then a full membership certificate (sitting proudly on my desk in front of me as I write this) after I submitted my work experience.

You should receive it through the post if not give the AAT a call to see what's happening.

I only ever got a Membership certificate, never anything for my levels. I get the impression it's a bit hit and miss, especially if you don't finish stuff in the year (e.g. leaving unit 10 til later like me!)

I got a certificate when I finished Intermediate and Technician (levels 3 and 4 now?) which were NVQ certificates and a Membership certificate when I also had the work experience.

Monsoon, looks like it is a bit hit and miss why you didn't get the level certificates, I took over 3 years from start to finish for Intermediate and still got one.

Unfortunately for this you need at least three years experience to qualify for it :(
