Should I try ATT again? A little personal...

Hi everyone

Sorry I know there's a lot of posts about ATT at the moment but I could do with a kick up the bum.

I sent off my registration documents for ATT in August 2010 to sit exams this year. In September 2010 I hadn't heard anything so called them and they assured me they had received everything and were processing my registration. The deadline passed and I had received no confirmation of my registration and they had not paid in the cheque.

I decided not to pursue as in late September I found I was pregnant. Sadly I lost the baby and I have pretty much put my life on hold expecting to get pregnant again soon, which hasn't happened.

I would really like to study ATT but get this niggling feeling that I don't trust them as they messed up my registration the first time, and what would I do if I did fall pregnant again? (Sods Law!) Those of you who are already studying, how are you finding the pace? Initially I was planning on sitting 2 exams in May then 1 in November, so now I would like to do 2 in November and 1 in May. Is this manageable?

TIA x

Sorry to hear your sad news. I have recently registered with ATT and everything seemed to go through quite quickly - maybe you were just unlucky? I have also applied to sit 2 exams in November - I'm sure it will be manageable as long as you are determined - I have 2 small children ( 4 years old and 11 months old) - I became pregnant on youngest in my Technician year at AAT and sat my June exams when he was 10 weeks old. It wasn't easy but you can definately still do it if you become pregnant - lots of sitting around waiting at appoinments to cram in some extra study ;)

Hope it all works out for you xx

    Thank you for your response.

It's encouraged me to hear you managed exams with a newborn so I think I will take the leap and re-register for ATT.

I still have a few months before I have to register so if I fall pregnant in the meantime I can reconsider.

    Thanks again :)

Gem, so sorry to hear your news, I wish you all the best with getting pregnant again.

In the meantime, go for it! There was a girl in my AAT technician class who sat one exam 10 days after giving birth! There are plenty of us on here doing ATT at the moment. Personally I'm doing one exam at a time as I just don't have the time to do more than that. I did initially plan to do 2 in May but rapidly realised it was too much. I recommend ordering 2 text books and starting one and seeing how you get on :)

Best of luck with all of it
