I've signed up to take ATT and my first exam will be in November. Any advice on which paper would be a good one to take first and which option paper to take? I'm a new MIP so that will influence me.

I've recently enrolled with ATT too and am planning to sit Business Tax in November. I worked on the principal that I think its the one I would get most out of sitting first, although it was a tough decision between that and personal tax - If i thought I could do it I'd sit both together but i know I would struggle!
I guess it doesn't really matter which one you sit first although it seems either paper 1 or 2 are good first papers.

Good luck with your studying - where are you hoping to take the exam?

I have just done VAT paper 5. I found this helped me a lot in practice as I am doing VAT returns all the time. It is amazing what you don't know. My next one is personal tax and i am leaving ethics to last. Don't forget that you may get to skip business tax if you have done it with AAT. I feel I should have my text books out now but having a break for a few weeks until the new books arrive.
