Maternity Pay

I have a client where they have received a lump sum back from HMRC to cover Maternity pay for one of their employees. My understanding is that this amount is made up of NIC reimbursements. How would this be treated in the accounts?

    Agreed, but post compensation (if any) to a separate income account as it is not taxable.
