A student providing accounting services need to have professional indemnity insurance?

    It is not compulsory, but it is advisable!

    Im in that situation, as I run a payroll business on top of being a student member of the AAT, I got Pii through Simply Business, didn't cost a lot.

    Anyone have an idea of how this much costs.
    I cant get a quote from Simply business and everything I have is really straight forward

    I'm not sure for student members, but I would guess £100-200 a year

    just rang them and cheapest quote is £496.00 this is also for Public Liability as well as PII as i dont think you can do one without the other. Seems excessive but needs must and all that
    Will hopefully get cheaper once I am an MIP as they provide discounts on PII
