Charity Accounting - Home Study

Hi all,

Hope everyone is well. I have been working for a charity for a year now, and I am interested in studying for a formal qualification in charity accounts (once I eventually pass PEV!!)

Does anyone know of any home study courses. I have attended a couple of days seminars with ACIE, which I found really informative, but it would be great to be able to study further knowing I could ring/email a tutor for advice.

I have seen a course which requires attendance in London at a cost of £5500, but that is too expensive and not feasible.

If anyone has any suggestions, I would love to hear them.

Thanks

Tracy

Hi there is a diploma the ICAEW do in conjunction with CIPFA:

You can achieve it via qualification or experience.

I work for a charity also, I've done the AAT but my boss wants me to do a chartered qual first.

    Thanks MattW

I appreciate the time you have taken to reply, however this is actually the one I made reference to! It sounds great but requires attendance on a Friday and a Saturday, and costs £5500, which is definately outside my budget (and the charities!).

This is actually the only one I have found on the internet, so perhaps nothing else exists.

Good luck with your chartered qualification, and thanks again.
