Does anyone know much about this final bit of CIMA.

How do they assess your experience side of it? Also, can you have a gap between finishing the final three exams and doing the Top CIMA exam? Or do you have to do it straight after or within a certain time frame?

Thanks in advance :)

No idea, but i remember it took my boss about 6months to sort out all of her CV and the scrutinised any gaps.

Think its 10 Years from when you pass your first exam.

    Hi

There is no time limit on the completion of CIMA exams. You could therefore leave a gap between the 3 strategic exams and TOPCIMA (T4 exam), but you may need to call on the knowledge you gained at the strategic stage.

The practical experience is assessed by you submitting a record of your experience. In addition to the application form, this includes a summary of your work experience (i.e. where you worked, how long you were there for) and a detailed CV (which forms the bulk of the experience record). The record is verified by the relevant employers/managers/supervisors etc. There is a time limit on the submission of this record, it used to be 5 years from having passed TOPCIMA, but I think it may now be 4 years.

The student section of the CIMA website has a practical experience brochure for download.
