Is anyone else getting nervous about the results day. I am getting frantic with worry about them. What annoys me is the length of time we are made to wait. Why can't ACCA issue results earlier. CIMA peple have got theirs.

Of course it is, think positive! At least you had some practice and were ready for layout/content etc because you already had a practice run! Remember that it can't be changed at the moment so there is no use worrying or being nervous! Sending you happy thoughts and good luck from Devon!

Yep, CIMA exams were end of May, ACCA were a couple of weeks later, just like the results.Did the CIMA students sit their exams before ACCA students?
I haven't counted if it is exactly the same amount of time, but I doubt the waiting time differs a lot!

Receiving your exam results
Make sure you can access your exam results as soon as they are available by registering to receive your exam results online.
All you need to do is visit myACCA , check to make sure we have an up-to-date email address for you and opt in to receive your exam results via email. For the June 2011 examination results release you have until 12.00 BST on Friday 19 August to subscribe.
And when you have subscribed to the online exam results service you will then continue to receive your exam results online until you have completed all your exams or decide to unsubscribe from the service.
We will start to despatch exam results via email the week commencing Monday 22 August and you will also be able to access your results via myACCA
Exam results will be sent via post to all students from Wednesday 24 August.
So if you haven't already done so, why not subscribe to the online exam results service today and then wait for your exam results to arrive in your inbox on 22 August.

When I took CIMA, the results came out about two months after the exams, I believe ACCA is the same. The reason it takes the time it does is due to the stages of gathering the marks: the marking, checking, verification. An exam board canโt just arbitrarily issue results when it feels like it, the process has to be controlled and robust for accuracy and credibility purposes. Other exam board waiting periods are of a similar length of time.

Once we get our results it will be exactly 11weeks since i sat my first exam!
2 months i could deal with, but nearly 3 months is too long....

Looks like things have change slightly since I considered CIMA vs ACCA. I think one thing that might extend the waiting time is ACCA running exams over two weeks and (going by their figures) ACCA have more students.

Does anyone actually know what time the results get sent out?
The webiste normally says what time (about 5/6 in them morning) but i cant find a time?

I don't the answer to this but I did get an email from ACCA saying we can also sign up to receive our results by text message. I might do this as well in case there's a delay with the email. Good luck everyone!0

i also signed up for the text thing but im not sure its worked.
It says enter your mobile and then tick this box and save.
Me and my colleague have both done it and when we go out of it and then go back in the box is unticked?0 -
Yes my box is unticked too if I go back in again! Very strange.... But when I ticked it again and clicked save I got a message saying transaction completed successfully. Oh well, will have to wait and see....0

I really hope I've passed F8 as this is my 3rd attempt at it. I keep getting butterflies everytime I think about the results. Why can't they just release them today instead of making us wait all weekend. It's a bit unfair of them to keep us waiting like this.0

Glynis get a grip everyone's already explained why there is a wait for the results. I know it's horrible waiting but use the weekend to relax and forget about it.0

I was only commenting that surely all the marks are done and ready so why can't the ACCA just send them now instead of making us wait.
