Payroll procedures for new employee with P45

Dear dedicated volunteer and fellow forum users,
I am dealing with this first time. I always run the payroll and print payslips for the existing employees. Now the situation is different. We have got a new staff with P45.
Please help me in the full procedures of this as we don’t have a guide for this procedure in our practice.
System used: Moneysoft payroll*

Choose employees>add new employee
Enter the details and choose the New employee (with P45) option
Enter the P45 details
Carry on with entering other employee details as per normal
Choose Forms>Employee Joining P45-3
Select the new employee and file to HMRC
Keep a copy of the P45 on file.Regards,
