ACCA results

It just is how it is. There's no use complaining about it, it won't make you feel any better. Do something nice this weekend to take your mind off it

I was only commenting that surely all the marks are done and ready so why can't the ACCA just send them now instead of making us wait.
I don't think it is possible to forget about them
That would be true whatever day results day was - if today was the published results day, they would have had the marks ready a couple of days ago, so then you'd be saying why couldn't we have them then. It would be much worse if they gave you the result today without it being fully checked and then having to give you the different result on Monday!
As Monsoon says, try and have a nice weekend without dwelling over the results too much - dwelling won't change the result you get on Monday. Best of luck to everyone getting their results.0 -
I think that they used to release them on a Friday but then it meant that people couldn't get hold of tutors etc if there were problems and it ruined their weekend. Whatever day they give them out there would be complaints.
Just live with it!0 -
failed audit but passed tax

f7 & f8 re-sits for me in dec.
good luck everyone0 -
I failed F8 Audit again. Worse mark than December
I am gutted. 0 -
I passed F4 Law and F9 Performance Management.
Failed F7 Financial Reporting by 2% - so a re sit in December for that one.
Well done Messed-Up. Sorry to hear that you failed again Glynis. I'm with Katie2008 - maybe try a different paper and come back to it after a break.0 -
Well done on the passes and sorry on the fails!0
-
You were up very early Messed Up! Well done on passing tax.
Glynis I'm sorry to hear you failed audit again, I agree with the other posts that perhaps this is a sign you should leave audit for now and try a different paper?
Well done on your passes Mini Schnauzer, I also passed F9. You did well taking 3 exams at one sitting, and you're not far off F7. I'll be taking F7 and F4 in December if all goes to plan.0 -

Sorry to hear that, so frustrating after putting so much work in.mini_schnauzer wrote: »I passed F4 Law and F9 Performance Management.

How annoying to fail by 2%!!! But doing 3 at once is a lot of work and good to know you're not far from the pass mark.
Well done to all that passed!0 -
I passed F6 - 61%
Which is a miracale as I did home study.
Glynis, why dont you have a go at this - I used the Open Tution online lectures, which are absolutely brilliant. They are done by a lady called Yvonne.
How did you do in yout AAT tax exam - because a lot of this was covered in that.
I used these lectures and a book from Ebay. Total cost about £25.0 -
Did anyone get their results by text message? I registered for it but it doesn't seem to have worked for me.0
-
My friend at work did - she is in Portugal at the moment and got her results at 4:06 this morning.
I got mine via email - so was in my iPhone in box when I woke up at 6am.0 -
I registered for text results, but didnt receive anything. Email came through about 7:20.
Apparently those that did get texts got them dead on 5am....0 -
Hi all,
I failed F5 by 8% so a re-sit for me. Not happy but at the same time glad I only took the one exam because of my wedding.
I registered for text and got it at 5:03 am.
Did you select the correct county code and leave out the first 0 when you registered for the text message service Rozzi?
Congratulations to everyone that passed.0 -
Sorry to hear that Glynis,
Have you though about 'shelving' that unit and coming back to it at a later date, and attempting another unit?
It wouldn't be as bad if I knew where I went wrong but ACCA have told me they cannot send your answer book back. I've read the examiner report but that's just the same old issues that came up last time.
I think I'm going to look at the free courses with BPP and the Opentuition. I won't let F8 beat me so I'll have another go in December.
One of my friends did F8 this time and passed. She said she passed due to pinning her technique down and reading the articles. I'm not sure how you do your technique or what articles she refers to but I'll have a go.
Thanks for the advices as well.0 -
i also registered to recieve them by txt but didnt0
-
I'd also registered by text but never received a message, thankfully the email came through at 5.02am!!
I passed P1 - 59% and P2 - 58%. I was convinced that I'd failed P2.0 -
The text service seems to be very hit and miss then! Pete, I was a bit unsure how I was supposed to enter my number, I did select the country code but entered my number how I would write it down - with the first zero and the space 07xxx xxxxxx Then I saw one of the reminder emails where they pointed out about dropping the zero so I changed it to no zero and no space, so 7xxxxxxxxx but that doesn't seem to have worked. But the box never stayed ticked to send the results by text so something wasn't right. It didn't matter tho coz I could check my emails as soon as I got up, I just signed up for text as a backup in case there was a delay with the email. Sorry to hear you failed, hopefully you now know where to improve for December.
Glynis, I'm glad you're being positive about audit and trying not to let it get you down - hopefully now your frined has passed, she can help you pass too.
Richard - well done on passing some of the P papers, you must feel as though you're nearing the end now.0 -

Thanks Rozzi, I'm counting down now - just 3 left! Well done for passing F9 too.
I had the same problem as you with registering for the text service. No matter how many times I tried, the box wouldn't stay ticked.0 -
