ACCA registration panic re. exemption

Has anyone had this problem before? I have managed to register with ACCA but they are not acknowledging my AAT qualification so I don't have any exemptions.

I finished all my AAT exams in May and decided to start ACCA, so I registered with them in July. I ticked that I finished AAT but the online registration page didn't accept my PDF documents so I sent these to them by post. I have just received my exam registration package from them, but there's no sign of any exemptions. I tried signing up for F4 and F5 in Dec. but it doesn't let me saying that I first have to complete F1-3. I'm starting to panic as the early registration closes in a few days and I'm not even sure I'll be able to register on time at all. I sent an email to them and the automatic response says they'll try to respond in 5 business days.
I tried to ring them, but it either says that the line is busy or that the number is unavailable.

If you had any experience with a problem like this, please let me know what you did.

Thanks a million.

It's been a couple of years since I registered with ACCA, but they got my exemptions wrong. It was all easily sorted out though with a phone call.

I seem to remember that you don't see your exemptions until they have been invoiced and paid for. Has this happened yet? I think if you log into myACCA you can see a list of outstanding invoices that haven't been paid.

Thanks for the response Richard, I hope I'll get this sorted as easily as you did.

There's no outstanding invoice showing in MyACCA and I haven't received any correspondence from them re. the exemption either. I've been trying to ring them, they are open on Sunday according to the ACCA website, but can't get through. Maybe I should go and do something else for a while, otherwise I'll explode.

I also had trouble with the exemptions.
I enlisted for the AAT passing on the information to ACCA re my results - but I was not on the AAT list.
In the end I send ACCA a photocopy of my final achievement page (printed off the AAT website) along with the completed form and a cheque for my exemptions. Went through very quickly after that.
ACCA then lost my photo and I never received my ACCA student card - that is needed to sit the exams.
Both are as bad as each other...

ACCA student card? I've never heard of this and that I'd have to take it to the exam. I only registered in July, so I still might get it, but it is strange that they don't seem to mention it anywhere that I saw.

Did they not allow you to take the exam then? That must have been really upsetting. I'm already getting fed up with all this, can't even imagine what I'd do if this happened to me.

I've also just sent my online statement of achievement for level 4 to ACCA and I'm hoping that they'll let me register for the exams for now. After calling them (I did get through after constantly re-dialing for 4 hours) they sent me a blank email that I had to respond to and attach my proof of completing the levels.

Have you managed to get your student card sorted already?

with your application to join ACCA you have to send a photo. this is put onto your ACCA identity student card, that is taken with u to the exams. other ID is ok such as passport, driving licence - but the student card is preferred.
I did not miss any exams - just annoying that I had to send another images to them.
call them and they will talk u thru everything. they were very helpful.

Thanks to both of you for your response.
I finally managed to get my exemption sorted out, just in time for the early registration. In the end the AAT sent me an official letter headed statement of achievement by email, that I could forward to the ACCA. After several calls and promises that it would be processed in x hours it finally happened this afternoon, just a few hours before the closing time for early registration.
As it might help others, it is good to note that apparently the AAT doesn't notify the ACCA directly anymore about results and that the ACCA accepts official SOA-s in place of certificates, those that are on AAT headed paper.

Now that the big excitement is over it's time to start studying for real...

    I'm glad you're sorted now.
