Does anyone have any suspicion what might come up in Decembers exam? When do the exam tips usually come out? I'm hoping that the paper this time is a bit more clearer than the last couple of times.

If you want to pass the exam in December do not question spot! It will not bring you exam success. The tips that are published are guesses, and the majority of the time are either incorrect, or so vague that it covers the entire syllabus.

It is better to develop a sound knowledge of the entire syllabus, than to become an expert on just certain areas.

I've got myself in a mess trying to guess whats coming. ACCA is very unpedictable compared to AAT.

Agreed, I have only once found what was tipped coming up and that was directly from a P2 tutor at BPP.

We can all have a go, but no one can be sure.
I thought that risk management was overdue on F9 last time. I was relieved to see questions on foreign exchange risk and interest rate risk. But (even with a bit of homework etc) my guesses always have a health warning.
As a tutor you can have a sub-conscious understanding of where the examiner is coming from and some idea of where he/she is going. It is based on years of preparing students for his/her exams. I do think I might have more of a chance than a student attempting an exam for the first time. But it would be seeking unnecessary extra risk if a candidate was to rely on exam guesses to structure his/her revision.

Funnily enough, it was the same for me. A P2 tutor at BPP predicted a consolidation involving a foreign subsidiary for the 50mark compulsory question in June!

How scary is that, the BPP tutor tipped a foreign translation in my exam which came up!
