Has anyone come across this expression?
It came up in a conversation and led to me looking up my tax books to see if there was any special arrangements for the self employed working in the media and I cannot find anything.
Does this mean there are no special considerations or allowances for people in the media or is it just that there are some accountants who are more creative about expenses for this category.

People refer to me as a media accountant because I specialise in clients operating in the media sector.
Is that what you mean?
A 'production accountant' I guess is the equivalent for someone working in industry as they do the internal accounts for film and TV production companies.
There are huge swathes of rules affecting film and TV that differ from any other sector. Most of which can be found here.0 -
