hi,

could anyone tell me what is the minimum amount that AAT members should retain books and reurns?

    The recommendation is seven years for books, notes and working documents as that statute limitation on legal action is six years. Effectively a client could begin legal proceedings any time up to the six years so adding a year is a sensible idea to allow for overlap :)
