How is everyone waiting for results feeling? I'm petrified and keep checking my login to see if they are there but they are not yet :(

This is agony.

I'm waiting for F8. If I pass this I'm hoping to try and get a practice job.

No point in torturing yourself over this Glynnis.

It's an exam, nothing more and if you pass then great and if not then just put yourself in for a resit in
    June.

There are far more important things in life than work and exams and you must try and maintain a degree
    of perspective.

I'm 99.9% sure I've failed F5 so feel quite relaxed about getting the results.

I'm also not convinced passing one exam will make much difference to your job chances really!

I will kick off the ACCA results..

    I passed F6 & F7, but failed F8 by 2%.

Weird as I failed F7 by 2% last time! Resit F8 for me next time along with P2.

I passed F4 and F7, really pleased as that's now the F's all finished for me.

Mini, you did well taking 3 exams in one go! How are you studying P2? I'm quite looking forward to that one :) Have you already taken P1?

Aww Glynis, I'm sorry you failed again. I think Messed up has the right idea by taking a break from F8, why don't you try a different paper? Aww, sorry for you too Messed up, better luck next time :( Stay positive!

    Hi Rozzi

I studied with Kaplan study texts and loads of past papers. I haven't done P1, but I don't like the look of doing that one and F8 Audit together, so I thought P2 and F8 would be a nicer mix.

    Passed F5 with 65%.

Still trying to revive myself as I was sure I'd failed.

Onwards to F8 now. Congrats to all those who passed.

Well done on those passes all! :)

And sorry to hear about the non-passes, but try to stay positive! Hopefully you got a bit of a feeling as to what you need to focus on for the next exam.

    Thanks Rozzi.

Just thought I was being realistic, but delighted to pass F5 as it wasn't a paper I really enjoyed.

    F8 now for June.

Thanks Sandy. I will enjoy this.

Many thanks for the help you provided last year. It was invaluable given I was studying alone.

:mad2: 3rd time failed P3, P4 & P5...not making it easy for myself home study and final 3 all at once so, think I'll do what so many others do - one at a time. I was feeling good after my efforts as well...

Still, should get my practicing licence this week, so not all bad...

can you get a copy of your paper so you can see were you are going wrong?

i really thought i'd passed F7 (my 3rd attempt) but only got 36 so i'm clearly doing something wrong

I still cannot believe or understand what has happened in the December paper as I answered all the questions but only got a mark of 19 :( I worked so hard on it that I just don't know what has gone wrong and that mark just cannot be right. I have to get past F8 but I need to see my exam paper so I can see what went wrong. ACCA say that they won't do this but there must be something I can do to get hold of my exam book. One of my relatives mentioned the freedom of information act so does anyone know anything about this.

19% on your 4th attempt is low. I really don't think your way of studying is working - or you don't understand the basic principle of audit and assurance. Please move onto a new subject - perhaps F4 law which you may find easier, and come back to Audit.
An accounting practice will want you to have a good knowledge of all subjects not just audit, which is something you obviously find hard to grasp. Move on and give yourself a break.

Exam scripts are specifically exempt from this.

No, (not sure if your post was addressed to me).

The basic registration one for bookkeeping with a view to expanding to VAT and payroll at a later date. ACCA students are only allowed to offer these services in practice unless you have been with an ACCA accredited employer for at least 2 years. Hoping to offer accounts preparation on a subcontract basis though and am doing these things on a voluntary basis for a local practice.

The practice (a national franchise) will hopefully enable me to get a full licence, say in 5 months time. I just have to get started.

I'm sure I read somewhere that ACCA will not give exam scripts back to students.

It's a shame because it can help students to see where they went wrong but I suppose logistically it
would be a nightmare for ACCA.

I believe the examiner provides a comprehensive report of overall student performance which is useful.

I think you might benefit from a break from F8 Glynnis. Why not try another paper?
