Hi

Was wondering if someone could help me with the following

Moyra is provided with the use of a company car. she was given a vauxhall car which cost the company £28400 in oct 2009. the list price of the car was £32000. it has emission of 204 g/kg and a petrol engine.

on 1 jan 2012, the vauxhall car was replaced with a volvo car , which cost the company £22600. the list price of the volvo was £24000. ithas co2 emission of 118kg and a diesel engine.

moyra is required to pay the full cost of all private fuel.

car co2 emission cost of car benefit in kind

vauxhall 30% (i get 28%) 32000 7200 (i get 9600)

volvo 13% 24000 780 (i get 3120)

if anyone have any thoughts, would be appreciated

Thanks priti

3918415just looked at the co2 emmission, they as follows

zero = 0

75g/km or less 5%

76gkm to 120 gkm 10%

121 gkm to 125 gkm 15%

diesel 3%, hybrid reduction 3%, gas reduction 2%, figure for fuel is 18800

the paper im looking at it cba 2011

Thanks

Priti

39Vauxhall = 30% (204g/km rounded down to 200 less 125 = 75/5 = 15 + 15 = 30)

List price = £32000, she had it for 9 months

£32000 x 30%/12x9=£7200

Volvo = 13% (10+3)

List Price = £24000, she had it for 3 months

£24000 x 13%/12x3=£780

I hope this helps x

15thanks fot that, much appreciated.

Just a quick question, previously when working out the emissions it was 135, has that now been changed to 125, because on the start of the exam paper it does not state to use 125, so im not to sure what to use when i sit my exam 2mrw

Again thanks for the help
