FNST exam is next tuesday, and i just cannot do this.
I have even gave my self a week off revision as i was stressing myself out that much , but it hasnt helped, infact it may of made things worse as now i feel i know nada!!
Im trying to get on AAT website for online exams and it wont work, today was my cramming day as all week im working and am too tired now after work that i cant concentrate!(this is since i started my new job which is 40 miles away from where i live)
I walked out of college monday as i just feel like i cannot do this exam, this module is to much for me!! and the worst thing is after this i only have two modules left (credit management and business tax) and im finished level 4 qualified!
I dont know how to cope or to make myself remember, please any ideas, ill try anything
Thanks in advance
Nicola

Someone has posted a link to the practise papers that you can access on one of the other posts so you can still access rpthe papers even though My AAT seems to be down. I know what you mean about FNST though. I did this first and although I got on fine with the numbers part I really struggled to remember the IAS info. Someone has posted a link on one of the other posts about this as well, which might help focus your study.

I'd definitely say stick with it though. FNST is one of the hardest, but credit management and control is really easy and business tax is a lot of info to get through but isn't particularly hard. It would be a shame to give up just because of one module.

    Good luck

    Hi Nicola

I know that feeling so well, I had a melt down just before Easter Hols and I'm only on level 3. Lucky for me the college mentor was around sat me down and we had a chat, I also have some very supportive friends. I failed APII and decided enough was enough.

Can you put off the exam and take it when your less stressed, that's what I've decided with my resit and a couple of my group have decided to wait as too many commitments. Maybe concentrate on the 2 left then go back too it with a fresh outlook. I don't know how your college does things, but ours have been quite flexible and even said there will be slots in the summer hols to take untaken or resits.

Good luck and I hope you do continue, like me I too need this qualification more so now as I am relocating due to getting married and will need to get a new job.

Let me know how you get on, even pm if you want just to talk.

    Hello Nic

Don't give up when you are so close to finishing :) Easier said than done, I know. I also studied FNST first and found it a challenging paper, but it is level 4 so it is going to be harder/testing as it is the final level - sorry not trying to make you feel worse, I do feel for you.

The link to the practice papers is http://aat-interactive.org.uk/aat/practice_assessments/

Study in small sections - shorter period of time and take breaks. If there is someone there with you ask them to test you on the standards etc.

You may also find the thread titled FNST results helpful. There is a link to an article about FNST and FNPF with some comments from the examiners about what to look for.

    Hope this helps.

congratulations on the wedding jan, and i didnt think i could do that, that would be a much better idea me sitting it when im ready and not when college thinks i should! i think i may be on the verge of a mental breakdown by sitting that exam, but then again, there will never be a right time i just cant absorb everything, worst thing is i cant even get the calculations right, and thats usually my strong point!
    thanks again xx

Here is a link to the FNST Results thread. I really recommend reading the article on FNST/FNPF on page 19 of May 2012 edition of PQ Magazine - http://forums.aat.org.uk/showthread.php?33966-FNST-Results

    Good luck :)

    Hi Nicola

I've got my FNST this Tuesday aswell so in the same boat! I've had a go at the practise CBA's and also printed off some of the old style past papers for a bit of extra practise, it's my last exam so realy don't want to have to resit! Good luck and try not to stress too much!

I saw you had a problem this morning
Im trying to get on AAT website for online exams and it wont work

I had a problem this morning too - very frustrating as I had put the morning aside to mark spreadsheet exams

Whatever the problem was, it seems to have been solved. I got in and have accessed the exams
I think you might have more luck now.
