How do I make my new Sky remote control operate

Hi Folks

I had my Sky remote control replaced by a new one. I have put in the required code in order to make it work, as instructed on the small leaflet which came with it, but I cannot turn the tv on or off.

Would anybody be kind enough to suggest a solution for this problem?

Thanks in advance for your response.

    Hi

Thanks for you replies. The remote definitely has new bsatteries - i used the remote to change tv channels. However, the only problem I am having is that the tv does not turn on using the remote.

Have you pressed the button that says TV (to the left of the blue sky button) before pressing the on/off button.

ok... I'd try removing the batteries and trying another new set (just in case), re-enter the code and try again. If this still doesn't resolve the problem I would contact sky customer services to see if they can help.

Did the code you are using work on your previous remote control?

Try following the instructions on the link below, there is also a link to all the codes at the end of the page.

The remote control did indeed come with instructions - it's just that I didn't follow them properly !! LOL

That is too much complex for just to build the remote by yourself. For to access it properly you also have to follow the instruction of it. If you follow it carefully then you can get while accessing it on practically.
