I hope someone can help
I have a friend who has asked if i would do his book keeping for him and Vat returns (he will be paying for accountancy advice, but has kindly said that if i want the practice he is happy to let me loose on his books).
He is a contract engineer and is currently looking for a suitable accounting software .
Any ideas

Does he need software? Could it be run on excel? That could be just as effective and a lot cheaper.
Is he after just bookkeeping software or does he want to do more with it?
A lot would depend on how many transactions we are talking about.0 -
VT cashbook is excellent and it is free.0

I love Excel for doing accounts :001_smile:, i will definately have a look at VT Cashbook cheers.
He has told me that he needs software that is compatible with HMRC.0
