Registering with CIMA

I am in the process of registering with CIMA and in order to complete my registration as a student they have requested copies of my certificates, transcripts for each year of study plus the graduation certificate or a letter confirming graduation.

Is anybody able to confirm exactly what is required. I have all certificates so no problems there. Do my statements of achievements cover the transcripts? In addition I have a letter from BPP confirming that I have completed the Technician stage but I do not appear to have a letter from AAT - would I need to ask AAT to confirm this to CIMA?

I want to ensure I can enrol at Manchester University in August and want to resolve any issues ASAP to ensure I can use my exemptions so any help is much appreciated.

Thanks

    Hi Kieron,

I registered with CIMA last year and thought I would have to send loads of supporting docs. Turns out you just need to scan your statement of achievement. That will show you've passed what you needed to pass.
I just sent in my statement of achievement and it got sorted.

    Hope that helps!

I am waiting on my ICAS still and very time conscious that I have to get my exemptions in before I book my exams on the 14th September which is the deadline date.

I have phoned CIMA and they simply said that I should try to get them in as soon as possible otherwise I will not be able to sit exams in November...

Don't suppose you know of anything I could do? :S

    Mega worried.

    Hi Louise,

I'm sorry but I don't think there is much you can do. When I got my project signed off my tutor signed it off and then another tutor within the college signed it off too, that's what pushed it through I think. Maybe it's worth talking to your tutor and asking them to make some enquiries about it?
Once you send off your statement of achievement it doesn't take that long for CIMA to grant you exemptions but you will have to pay for them, along with CIMA membership and the fees for 2 exams which in all will be a lot!

Fingers crossed your project gets marked soon and you can start on CIMA. I have passed F1 & P1 so if you need any advice I'd be happy to help. Are you going to Kaplan/BPP/LSBF?
