has anyone studied this course? I have applied for September for direct entry onto year 2 as i have completed AAT although im still waiting on 2 exam results.
Although i will apply for exemptions from certificate levels i will still study them and can anyone advise me what books to purchase for all the 5 Certificate levels?
Thanks Guys

Hi Nic,
Have you heard back about your application yet? I'm considering taking this route so any feedback on the application process or anything you think would be useful would be appreciated!
I have emailed them today to see if it's worth applying as i'm waiting for results as well but doubt I will have them before September unfortunately so will have to delay until Sep-13 unless they make an exception.
Not sure why you would still study the certificate level when you don't need to?! But the cima online resources are supposed to be quite good.0 -

I don't think you will need to buy the certificate level books... I've just started F1 & P1 classes and we have already covered the majority of the syllabi in AAT... I would try to borrow them first to see if it is actually worth buying them.0 -

Hi,
I have been accepted onto this course and start in September, As I was waiting on results when I applied I am starting on external auditing first which is the none cima module. The cima module i will start in January. I need to have my level 4 certificate by December.
The reason i will still study the certificate levels although ill be taking exemptions is that i believe exemptions just mean less exams not less study. Id hate to get to the higher levels and struggle as I skipped the certificate levels.
And thanks Louise, someone has actually emailed me from here saying they have the certificate level books in pdf format and he will send them to me. Very generous
Thanks

I did a postgraduate diploma at RGU many years ago. However I would never contemplate any further dealings with them because of their awarding of an honorary doctorate to the American businessman Donald Trump who was responsible (along with the SNP government and Alex Salmond) for the destruction of a unique and irreplaceable dune system on the Aberdeenshire coast. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zk-MHQE2xPQ0
